Thurs Apr 8

Depart from Pearson International Airport, Toronto on our non-stop flight to Prague, Czech Republic.  Dinner and breakfast served on the flight.

Fri Apr 9

Upon arrival in Prague we will meet our Polish Tour Guide, board the buses and travel to the city of Prague for Holy Mass at the Infant Jesus of Prague Sanctuary located in the Church of Our Lady of Victory.  After mass you may visit the gift shop and museum.  You will then have time for lunch and short visit in Prague.  After lunch, we will leave for our hotel in Brno or Olomouc, Czech Republic for dinner and overnight.

Apr 10

After breakfast we will leave for Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II.  You will see the Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Sacrifice, where Karol Wojtyla was baptized and served as an altar boy.  You may also visit the family’s apartment, now a museum located just across the street from the church. After our visit we will go to Kalwaria hotel.  Dinner and overnight

Sun Apr 11

Divine Mercy Sunday!!  We  will have our own English Mass then go to the Divine Mercy shrine.  

 

At 3 o’clock we will join in the Divine Mercy Sunday and Mercy Hour celebration. 

 

You will have time to visit the Basilica and the convent shrine that houses St. Faustina’s remains.  Dinner and overnight

Mon Apr 12

After breakfast we will leave for Jasna Gora and the shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.  We will have Holy Mass at the chapel of the miraculous image.  This chapel has been visited by Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI.  It has also been visited by St. Faustina and St. Maximillian Kolbe.  It is one of the holiest places in Poland.  We will also have a guided tour of the Shrine.  After the tour we will transfer to our hotel in the Czech Republic.  Dinner and overnight

Tues Apr 13

Today we travel though the Austrian Alps to Padua, Italy.  We will have Holy Mass at St. Anthony’s Basilica.  We will visit the tomb of St. Anthony and the Treasury Chapel where you may admire the Saint’s uncorrupted tongue, his jawbone and other relics recovered during the recognition of his mortal remains.   After our visit to Padua, we will travel to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Wed Apr 14

Today we will visit St. John the Baptist Cathedral to view the Shroud of Turin.  According to tradition, the 14-foot-by-4-foot linen cloth is the burial shroud of Jesus. The shroud has a full-length photonegative image of a man, front and back, bearing signs of wounds that correspond to the Gospel accounts of the torture Jesus endured in his passion and death.

We will leave Turin and travel to Rome, reaching it by evening.  Dinner and overnight

Apr 16

After breakfast we travel to Vatican City to visit St. Peter’s Basilica, perhaps the largest church in Christianity. St. Peter’s is traditionally the burial site of St. Peter and the principal church of the Pope.  We will have a guided tour of the Vatican Museum, including the Sistine Chapel and also visit the tombs of many of the Popes including Pope John Paul II.

Today we will visit some of the beautiful Basilica’s in Rome including St. John Lateran, Saint Mary Major and St. Paul Outside the Wall.

Sun Apr 18 This morning we leave for San Giovanni Rotondo.  On the way we will visit the Sanctuary of St. Michael the Archangel (Santuario di San Michele Arcangelo) a sacred cave and popular Catholic shrine near San Giovanni Rotondo.  Here the Archangel Michael is said to have appeared in 490, 492 and 1656 and consecrated the shrine himself. In San Giovanni we will tour the old church and see the crucifix from which he received the stigmata in 1918. We will see the confessional where Padre Pio spent many hours hearing confessions and directing pilgrims on their journey toward God.  Dinner and overnight

Apr 19

Early morning we will travel to Lanciano to see the 8th century Eucharistic Miracle.  After our visit to Lanciano we will travel to Loreto, the site of the Holy House of Nazareth. Tradition has it that this is the house where Mary prayed the Magnificat, where Jesus grew to manhood, and the Holy Family dwelled.   By 7 o’clock we will reach Ancona and board the ferry for our overnight crossing of the Adriatic Sea.  After breakfast on the ferry we will board our bus and continue our trip to Medjugorje arriving late morning. 

Tues

Apr 20

While in Medjugorje our group will attend the services at St. James Church climb Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain and hear a talk by one of the visionaries (if available) and attend the evening prayer service which begins with the Holy Rosary.  During the Rosary Our Lady gives her blessing.  This is followed by the remainder of the Rosary and Holy Mass.   After Mass the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary are prayed.

Fri Apr 23 Today we leave Medjugorje and travel to Budapest, Hungary.  Dinner and overnight
Sat Apr 24

Depart for the airport for our flight back to Toronto.
